Noise meets country blues. Bill Orcutt is the guitarist of noise-rock band Harry Pussy, and he performed at our 2012 Day of Noise. When not in a band, he is just as abrasive and abstract, but with an acoustic guitar. Just a few slackened steel strings are enough allow Orcutt to explore the furthest sonic boundaries that are possible with this minimal setup. Brief snippets of motifs emerge and then quickly collapse into a fray of plunking, buzzing—think Fahey or M. John Hurt having a nervous breakdown, letting out some intermittent wails in response to the incoherent sound they find themselves making.
Instrumental—FCC clean. For fans of Jandek, Ignatz, breaking guitars.

Try any track: they’re all good, they’re all weird, and all impossible for me to describe individually.
