On this masterpiece of a record, Thomas Dimuzio (who performed at this year’s Day of Noise) collaborates with percussionist Chris Cutler and guitarist Fred Firth. Dimuzio’s effects, sample loops and feedback manipulation joins the instruments in some really remarkable, vibrant collective improvisation. The songs range from dark, found-sound laden drone soundscapes to wild acid-jazz freakouts. No proper song titles, just weird hieroglyphs. For fans of Lotus Eaters, Throbbing Gristle, etc.

(33rpm)
A
1. (18:27) Guitarist and drummer wandering around some post-Bitches Brew atonal acid groove, swirling in a sludge of effects and skronky sample collages. Slowly crescendos into a really abstract noisefest, buzzing and bubbling sounds of every timbre at once.
B.
1. (2:34) Dense, overdriven guitar + drums: lethargic stoner droning, slowly zoning out completely as Dimuzio picks up the pace with his weird noises
2. (6:26) Relaxed atonal meandering guitar + bass clarinet gets more ominous as the layers of found-sound and drone slowly intensify.
3. (8:04) Tribal basement cacophony, a lot of weird cluttering, some notes and humming here and there.
