Vocal Brazilian jazz. A small band expertly backs and adds an extra layer of sophistication. A salute to the music of Ivan Lins and the great Milton Nascimento. She has a sexy, warm voice and a nicely rich style. Mostly in Portuguese.
*1. Upbeat then mid then quiet. The vocals trip, the band jams.
2. English vocals, relaxed and sleepy w/a romantic air.
3. Down/midtempo love song w/layers of vocals.
*4. Mostly downtempo ballad. Great solos from the band.
*5. Relaxed piano & drums, vocals a bit breathy.
6. Slow perc & piano, very quiet at times. Gentle vocals.
*7. English love song, mostly midtempo w/a hip jazz sound.
8. Slow and rich ballad w/some nice solos.
9. Slow piano & vocals. Fragile, quiet vocals.
*10. Down/midtempo then faster. Cool band solos.
11. Slow, good guitar work. A tight late-night jazz set.
12. Slow ballad w/a gentle wistful air.
