Petey Hop, based out of NY, covers lots of territory on this, his second album. Produced by legend Duke Robillard (Roomful Of Blues, Fabulous Thunderbirds), it’s rockin’, bluesy, jazzy. Great musicianship throughout w/ strong songwriting, strong vcl. Solid stuff. No FCC’s.

*My Favorites*: 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11.

1. *(3:39) Mid. Upbeat jazzy blues romp w/ horns, keys, back vcls.
2. *(4:59) Mid. Handclaps, tambourine intro, bluesy gtr riff, gets jammin’.
3. (5:22) Slow / Mid. Mellower walkin’ jazzy mourner w/ steady beat, nice vcl.
4. (5:43) Slow. Title track. Ominous vibe w/ keys, harmonica, minimal drums.
5. *(3:13) Mid. Folky, country w/ just gtr and vcl. Solid.
6. *(4:02) Mid. Upbeat walkin’ driver w/ full band, organ, horns. Killer.
7. (4:02) Slow / Mid. Classic blues w/ harmonica, killer gtr, keys.
8. *(2:34) Mid / Fast. Driving w/ twangy gtr, a-la Chet Atkins.
9. *(3:13) Mid. Sparse w/ gtr and vcl. Solid.
10. (4:22) Mid. INSTRUMENTAL. Surfy w/ big drums, big gtr, organ.
11. *(3:30) Mid. Upbeat ’50’s R’n’R vibe w/ horns, keys. Killer.
