A sophisticated tribute to Duke Ellington featuring top notch piano & clarinet duos. A few originals, but keeping in the mood of celebrating Duke. Tight arrangements, first-class playing. Occasional addition of tenor sax and/or cello. Every track has something to recommend it. Watch for applause at end of tracks.

*1. Bright mid/uptempo classic w/trilling clarinet & strong keys.
*2. Strong bluesy walk, lazy w/tight interplays.
3. Nicely atonal at times, relaxed w/cool addition of cello.
*4. Warm and sunny mid/uptempo where the clarinet shines.
5. Sax calls out, piano answers. Lush and romantic.
6. Sweetly lyrical ballad with a subtle touch. Sigh…
*7. Warm sax solo into a sophisticated love song.
8. Mostly midtempo, playful duet w/a bright sound.
*9. Clarinet intro, then a slow & warm blend of keys/cello.
*10. Starts slow, varying tempos, gets fun. A nicely updated version of the classic. Clarinet really shines.
