Fedora Corpse brings us the solo "demented techno project" of Wolf Eyes' John Olson. Seriously rhythmic (and thus not just for noise snobs) with whirrs, deconstructed beats, noisy rumblings, the sounds of records skipping; everything you could have hoped for. "Minimalist industrial" seems to fit too. The rhythms are prone to missing beats or having extra beats, all great. And check out that vinyl color. Just fantastic late night stuff. The recommendation stars are totally inconsequential; play whatever has the description you like.

RIYL: Wolf Eyes, American Tapes, Olekranon, Family Underground, "D/X" selections

1 (3:26) Pounding industrial intensity segues in and out of weirdo space alien noises before combining
2 (3:37) Scattered, scratchy, distorted digital rhythm; lots of alternating ~2 second periods of loudness and very quiet
3 (1:55) Throbs, drum beats, staticky drill sounds alternate in and out of rhythm
*4 (2:57) Consistent wobbling madness; electronic sounds that do sound like instruments
*5 (3:28) Techno beat that moves like molasses, big bursts of noise, dentist drills, brief bursts of fadeout. Don't play if you're alone in the station after 3 AM
*6 (4:15) Dubby beat, sprinkles of synths; post-apocalyptic organized crime nightclub feel
7 (3:18) Pillars of static, ghostly digital chimes; throbbing bassy beat comes in
8 (1:19+) High anxiety shuffle of clipped beats. Ends in a locked groove that you probably won't even notice

9 (2:08) Clunked up beat, wood smacking steel after WWIII, the requisite failed alien transmissions
*10 (3:56) Scritchy robotic crickets, whining electronic beacons, steady rhythms. Sneak this into a weird electronic or dubstep set
11 (3:23) A broken dryer comes to life, kicks its fallen comrades to pieces. High frequency whirrs for good measure
*12 (2:43) Loud pounding throbbing drum machine blends perfectly with electronic death throes
*13 (4:36) Funky noise, porno dirty. Some of the album's harshest noise bursts to go with its most melodic beat
14 (2:46) Another bassy, wobbling beat; some great heavily effected knob turning accents
**15 (5:06) Corroded, repetitive, perfect dubby beat, and more big effects on the screeching static and whirrs. Absolutely killer
