Dreamy exotic folk-rock with psychedelic flair, hazy and comforting like a joint on Sunday morning. Matt Valentine and Erika Elder have had quite a prolific career, perfecting a sound that is both primordially familiar and totally original. Imagine if Neil Young (Zuma era dirges especially) went for a ramble in the woods with Charalambides, Wooden Wand, even Bardo Pond comes to mind. It doesn’t get much better than this.
