Trentemøller- Lost
Label: In My Room
Lots of collaborations with many vocalists (female and male) for Trentemøller’s newest album. Ranging from minimal techno, house, and some soft rock/ indie pop, lots of different sounds that all work together fairly well. A well produced album with interesting sounds and synths, check it out!
FCC clean
Picks: 3, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12
1. (6:52) Gentle fem vox (meow-worthy) over dark bass, twinkling sounds, and melancholic chords
2. (5:50) Haunting vox with slightly schizophrenic synth pattern, plodding bass, and strings/ horns too.
*3. (5:28) Darker, driving techno song with ebbs and flows, pretty neat production in some parts and very catchy. Fast cars spinning our of control while on an illegal mission
4. (4:37) Midtempo. Meow-worthy vox and light drums/ hi hats, keyboards.
*5. (7:12) Noisey krautrock combined with psychedelic swirls and driving guitars, oh wait, light show lazr time! Comes together nicely though :-)
6. (3:39) Quickened beats, echoey male vox, discordant sounds.
7. (4:54) Dark quickened kick drum driven beats, distorted but sexy echoed fem vox.
*8. (6:13) Reverberation, soothing bells, an organ, and cascading waves of sound
(4:34) Portishead-like vocalist, but without the good trip-hop.
*10. (4:44) Vengeful, faster, haunting male vox. Gets nice bass bee stings to it. 80’s feel. Builds up nicely-- dancey.
*11. (3:59) Reminds me of a faster paced Soul Finger in some parts. Has a nice Indian flair to it too. Big drums. Jam!
*12. (13:32) FUCKING EPIC. Careens through experimental, techno, and all that is good and holy in this universe. Silence from 8.44--> 10. 17, then keyboards
