Dark dark dark. Aderlating is a dark ambient band out of the Netherlands. Lots of feedback and analog effects. Reminds me of Wolf Eyes but less abrasive and somehow more sinister. A press release describes their vocals as "low rumbling demon evocation." It's a varied album, second half is more accessible but they're both pretty out there. Drums are very cool. They often contrast with ambient effects and demon summoning. No FCCs.

1. (9:29) Rumbling distortion and high pitched feedback, wind chimes, low pitched growling. Sounds like choir singing in latin (very faint)? Growing, pulsating semi-beat. Cacophonous outro. Pretty hellish stuff.
2. *(4:32) Atmospheric sounds and slow drum kit solo. Creepy voice sort of grumbling to itself. I'm still not sure if that's a choir, but it's back in any case.
3. (5:24) Feedback, distortion and wind. Mechanical, industrial sounds. Very distorted screaming. Possibly an alien spaceship.
4. (5:27) The title, "Dragged to the Smouldering Pits of Infinity," tells you most of what you need to know. Atmospherics and growling, building radio static. Very slow drums and cymbals come in halfway.
5. *(6:07) intro sounds like a factory starting up in the morning. Abrupt transition to ominous drum roll and church bells. Still foreboding, but "brighter" sounds than the rest of the album.
6. *(5:36) Fast, light cymbals and one slow, heavy drum. Cool contrast. Sounds like a train approaching. Heavy drums.
7. (4:19) High-pitched manipulations (can't think of a better word) over welling drones. If they weren't already here, the demons have definitely arrived by now.
