Loco Dice's Desolat label does it again with a great compilation of the signature tracks working the best underground clubs in Europe. There's something for everyone, deep & techy, tribal & acidic, and some funky stuff too. All are worth a spin, but the clear winners are Shlomi Aber's "Mind Tribus" (#1), Blakkat's "Analogue Times" (#5), Dietz's "You're So Hood" (#6), and Hector's "Make a Move" (#8).
1. Mind Tribus (7:17) Shlomi Aber launches the comp with a bass-heavy tribal thumper. Great vocal snippets in Spanish.
2. Closer Than Most (5:48) Argy's track has a looped fem vox that's a bit dramatic.
3. I'm Telling You (6:00) Mesmerizingly deep tribal-tech - Solid beats & percussion.
4. Booty Call (6:33) Dark & mysterious - ambient crackles & sleepy fem vox samples.
5. Analogue Times (6:34) Wow! Funky bassline & a tweaky distorted percussive effect. Nasty tech-funk by L.A. based Blakkat.
6. You're So Hood (6:46) So groovy! Tweaky acidic funk w/ sampled vox from the hood.
7. Beware Of The Drum (6:36) Tribal thumper w/ great percussion layers & Spanish vox.
8. Make a Move (7:06) Mesmerizing dark tech-house. Rolling bass & swishing effects.
9. Dont You Worry (6:21) Looped male soul vox sample over thumping bass beat.
10. Overvision (6:26) Faraone's thumping bouncey style shines in this banger.
11. Assymetric (7:21) Crackly distorted bass beats on this dirty tech stomper.
12. Blast (6:19) Epic closing track with dramatic & insistent synth loop.
