Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2014-11-26
Psyche drenched pop, rock. Echoey submerged vocals mostly female. At least one song sounds exactly like Wooden Shjips with fem vocs. Others have a Pink Floyd quality. Heavy bass, subtle organ/synth, heavy fuzzy guitars. Great joyful stuff, again from Captcha Records. Play with Medicine, Lovechild, Dream Syndicate, all your psyche rock faves.

1)* (5:00) upbeat very Wooden Shijps
2) (3:49) less driving, more of a plod and melodic vocs make it poppier
3) (5:37) slower dreamy plod
4) (3:06) slow pink Floyd psyche strummy guitars heavy bass male vocs submerged
5) (3:22) slow plod, a real head nodder, goes double time and jammy
6) (3:42) waltzy minor sad tone, relatively quiet but gets dense with layers
7)* (4:08) epic: wailing siren slide guitar hook then bouncy joyful bliss
8) (4:13) slower dreamland heavy bass driven with pretty guit embellishments
9) (2:38) almost experimental looping feel, layered sounds, fades in and out
10) (4:08) pleasant song.
