Second release from awesome Seattle “supergroup” featuring Julia Shapiro of Chastity Belt, Bree McKenna of Tacocat, and Stacy Peck of Pony Time. This album has the razor sharp sense of humor that you’d expect from these ladies with plenty of commentary on dating culture, perceptions of feminism, and (you guessed it) women’s rights. Shapiro sheds most of the dreaminess present on CB’s Time to Go Home and adds a roughness and more attitude to the guitar work. But she retains her unique vocal ability to channel both deadpan and a fullness of disillusionment, with great backing from Peck. Hilarious, infinitely quotable, catchy, smart and timely. All songs great.

2. *(3:02) mid. the best scratchy three-chord rock with simple drums, yelpy call-and-response type vox address all the ways women are supposedly disgusting according to society!!! hell yeah
3. *(2:07) mid-fast. beachy gentrification commentary with a killer Joey Santiagoesque hook. “I’ll let you explain feminism to me /if I can use your HDTV.” lookin’ @ u techies
4. (2:11) mid. power chords building, simple, about how ladies are often reduced to their abilities to spew babies into the world
5. *(1:31) fast. lighthearted beachy like #3, probable mockery of Best Coast and just the general culture we have of hyping the vapid act of “hanging out.”
6. *(2:17) FCC d*ck mid-fast. bass open, pounding drums. headbobber. it’s called “Siri, Open Tinder” and it’s as great as you’d think it would be.
7. (2:19) FCC sl*t mid-fast. feels like 2 and 4. JS does this kind of yelping for the refrain like she did in #2. I get that Pixies vibe again during the solo, in a good way.
8. *(3:32) mid. great use of the alternating quiet/loud motif, feat. creative drums, whispery vocals from BM, killer build @ finish.
9. (2:51) FCC d*ck mid. slackery vibe, this one’s all about the lyrics. “well, everyone is gay/anyway.”
10. (1:53) FCC sh*t mid-fast. badass. JS poking fun @ herself and spoiled youth.
11. (1:19) fast. sonically more of the same. is this a veiled response to “Who Let the Dogs Out?” from 50 years ago? kind of like “if you make a mess at my place could you clean it up and not assume a woman should?” I dig it.
12. *(2:45) FCC? drug references...mid. so you know that feeling when people we went to school with start having kids and it freaks us the **** out and we would rather do coke at their baby showers?
13. (1:25) fast. BM sings. high-energy short track to end. too funny, I have nothing else to say, just listen.
