(CLEAN) 03. De La Soul - Nosed Up - A.O.I. Records: [93 BPM] This track of the new LP ‘Anonymous Nobody’ in a way brings the group full circle paying homage to the P-Funk sound that put them on the map back in the late 80’s. Unlike the dance drivin sample loop of Funkadelic’s Knee Deep, De La this time around has all orginal music and the funk is truly p-funk. From the funky horn section to the intro in that funky deep bass voice stating: ‘And in from the door steps a dumbass struts the fool's gold/ Know-it-all, and you wear it well/Funk-less in full length/Too square to stand for anything/Somebody get that man a chair’ you know you are entrenched in the funk. One of the highlights of the LP. – M-SMOOTH
