A collection of Christmas songs, many in duet form, features Placido Domingo, one of the great “3 Tenors” of the past 25 years. The Czech National Symphony Orchestra and Czech National Symphony Choir, conducted by Eugene Kohn, provide lush orchestral backups. Band 8, Astro del cielo, is an arrangement of an 1893 solfeggio by Puccini. Band 4, What Child is This, has accompaniment by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra led by Richard Balcombe. White Christmas is by Irving Berlin. Ave verum corpus is by Mozart. Feliz Navidad is by Jose Feliciano.
