Formed in 1969, these Swedish survivors, stalwarts, were part of the early prog psych scene of the day. They've been mildly active over the years (I saw them at Hotel Utah about 13 years ago) but it makes sense that they've come out of the woodwork today seeing as the sound they helped forge has become so popular of late. These are all/mostly instrumental, guitar bass and drums, cool mellow jams in many ways, but searing enough to keep it out of the realm of, cough cough, phish. Play with fellow afile denizens Bardo Pond, or dig out some Carlton Melton. Great stuff.|
1) (20:10) slow chill airy drums, guitar and bass, epic. 2) (6:00) a bit more rockin, more like Bardo Pond than the previous. 3) (12:56) a groove, a nice jam. 4) (7:41) very quiet fade-in then a pleasant meandering jam 5) (3:38) a bit more bouncy and slightly funky. 6) (3:16) vocals appear trippy psych rock, kinda Velvet Underground white light white heat/sister ray feeling, low fi and rockin very different from previous. 7) (14:29) very very mellow to start, then a nice plod with vocalizations added, called "farewell", is this a message?
