Solid songwriting from a woman who has often remained in the background as many of her songs were covered by some true country superstars. Her work has also appeared during during emotional scenes and credits on major network shows. The lyrics are the stars on this album, and the music is merely in the background. Nice in small doses, but repetitive as an album. Any song is good.

1. slow - singer/songwriter, meaningful lyrics, nice mellow musical interlude
2. slow – only piano, cello and voice on album’s title track
3. slow/med – blues type sound
4. slow – deep lyrics, gentle instrumentation, #1 hit when covered by Trisha Yearwood
5. slow – poem set to jazzy beat, “Little Boy Blue” story
6. slow – gentle tune, piano, harp and viola, theme we can relate to
7. slow/med – a slowed down, Americanized highlands jig
8. slow – typical emotional and expressive lyrics with gentle music
9. slow/med – blues inflection
10. slow – emotional lyrics
