|Your Imaginary Friend|
Female fronted trio from Chicago that are reviving the classic joy, loveliness, brutal fuzz pop that bands like the Breeders, Casual Dots, Slant 6, Softies, Cakelike, Helium did so magically in the early 90’s. Lovely harmonies, melodies, understated yet complex vocals, excellent guitar and bass provided by the women (a token guy laying low, playing perfect subtle drums). Introducing: your favorite new band of 2017. This is the digital download of a cassette only release.|
Aside: I stumbled upon this band at the DC9 club while at a conference in Washington DC a month ago, on a whim. Boy was I not disappointed. Years past I would always hit a live music venue, any venue, when out of town. This was a 1000% total score. I left so elated, picked up this release for myself and the station.
