Batwings Catwings was essentially born when TPF's Clay Johnson was voraciously exploring LA's DIY music scene and stumbled upon Dana Poblete, the singer of experimental "ethereal punk" band Puppy Dog, in 2009. Coast to Coast EP is straight up punk rock. The distorting bass sounds which come out in several tracks are a clear sign of their influences (Social Distortion or even The Ramones), which are perceived as late 90's indie rock.
