Album Review

Prog infused metal. Or metal infused prog. Super advanced stuff that borrows from Rob Halford (Judas Priest), and other 80’s metal vocalists in the vocals at times, the guitars are all there, the beats, but the overall tone and production sounds more like super slick prog. Hyper and tight, these songs are super honed. See also UFO, Bubblemath,

1) FCC – theres a quick FCC after the song ends that’s barely audible but if you hit the next track after this ends and avoid the dead space its fine: (2:11) chugging metal tone a la Scorpions or Judas Priest, this one is more glam metal than prog 2) (2:21) more chugging 3)* (2:31) more of a 2/4 hardcore feel, guitars use a strange effect 4)* (3:39) the prog feels strong in this one even though the tone is doomier, something about the vocals reminds me of Offspring 5)** (2:53) this one is my favorite: “I had a date with the devil”, walk of shame from hell… great stuff 6) (2:29) chugging again “flipped upside down for your love” with speed metal breaks 7) (3:30) riffy and slick, nearly pop punk prog metal 8)** (3:39) big sonic doomy coolness, title track gets 2/4 punky and epic 9)* (3:12) full on 2/4 speed metal feel, goes half time and spacey during verses, strange female sorta vocals toward end 10) (3:11) more 2/4 speed metal stuff, slow riffy breakdowns 11) (4:27) faster upbeat tone, harmonized vocals, this has some interesting parts using different tones, an epic riff hook at end to give closure 12) (4:43) chill start that comes out of previous, slow ballady, rather cheesy in the heartfelt vocals, but the music is sonic deep, guitar lead rings of the Schenkar bros. even
