Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend

Heavy thrash hardcore satanic metal from Sweden (of course). For the first 4 tracks the drums in this make it: looser than expected, more along lines of early 80’s punk bands playing faster than they were technically capable but not letting it stop them. Its like the drums and cymbals are coming loose. This sets the stage for some evil nasty bloody walls of volume, screamed vocals, undying love for Satan. The later tracks seem to tighten up into fairly straight black Satan hardcore thrash metal with techie elements and higher production. “Oooh stop with your devil music!”. Love it – stick to the first 4 tracks.

1)* (4:06) piled on dirty hardcore, loose in all the right places 2) (3:08) fast thrash with wailing scream at start, bad ass 3) (2:14) cool riff, satan getting lots of props in the lyrics 4)* (4:51) off the hook wall of thrash, totally evil slow down and fade out 5) (4:34) this one is tighter, its like a different tighter drummer is playing, more standard machine gun beat techie metal with slicker guitars, production, slow bridge, lots of witches and satan 6) (3:35) again more techie, tight 7) (3:48) riffy, slower/mid heavy, goes through lots of parts and drama 8) (5:04) launches into a huge galloping banshee 2/4 thrash 9) (3:12) again, a production change, minor toned marching feel 10) (2:44) 2/4 with gallop parts
