Female singer/songwriter material produced by PJ Harvey who along w/ J Mascus also contribute their playing abilities. Mostly sparse minimal “sadcore” w/ melancholy feel, acous guits, organs, piano, slide guit and drums on about ½ the songs. 1) slow ¾ sad overall 2) upbeat mid tempo, still melancholy, nice organs/slide 3) slow min acous guit based 4) full band feel, w/male trade off vocs, mid tempo minor, think: tarnation, Calexico 5) min voc/acous guit centered, breaks into heavier feel w/ drums for ending 6) slow ¾ ballad, acous guit, nice 7) slow plodding, a-typical timing, sad death march 8) upbeat acous strumming and feel despite lyrics 9, 10) melancholy solo vocs+guit mostly.
