Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2001-08-08
This is a copy of my "dj review":

Super-overdriven compressed rockin 4 track noisefest. As good as this genre gets. Anyone with a 4 track should be required to listen to this. No vocals, just good noisy use of analog synths, killer real drum beats, bass, guits, and tape. All not good but greeeaat! Fans of old Chrome, F/i need apply. Proof that a good drum-beat is all you ever need. 1) upbeat, quirky analog synth but super overdriven basic rockin groove and lots of noise 2) slow-mid epic rock, still synth ridden and loud 3) good basic beat cut up, very brief 4) upbeat rockin madness w/ killer synth and noise 5) holy smokes is this ever good!! mid-up basic rockin 6) synth heavy epic feel, after ca. 2 min breaks into great head nodding mid paced rock beat and synths cont nicely 7) 60’s gearhead feel, some “voc” screaming low in the mix 8) tape rewind intro, slow rock-dub feel w/ hand held recorder sounds, etc, picks up in places 9) garage rock feel, upbeat and driving, gets hvy and intense then 4/4 rockin.
