Dissonant synths, flutes, drums, and saxophones blend into formless (not a bad thing) mood pieces with a surreal edge.
1 In a major key, lots of dissonance, heavy on the saxophones
*2 Flutes, mid-tempo drums, and synths evoke Native American mysticism
3 Lots of space-style pitch-bending. Synths with horns – background “space” noise. Busy.
*4 Starts with just percussion, then solo sax with a raw, Bedouin-like edge. Haunting.
5 Up-tempo, perky sax call-and-response format
6 Dissonant saxophones make avant-garde electronica. Jarring.
7 Slow, somewhat dissonant blend of only saxophones
8 Synths in the background, overlaid with slow, jazzy saxophone
*9 Guitar, synths, and flute combine in this mellow, upbeat, nearly orchestral track
10 Multi-layered, if formless, combination of synths and saxophones
11 Ethereal, space-age synth experiment, Jarre on illegal substances
12 (Secret track) Synths that sound like a woman singing, a man snoring, geese honking
