A spritely modern take on bebop from Ravi, who's developed a respected identity separate from his famous dad. Lots of spirited playing with firey sax solos, well executed. Ravi plays fast and fluid, with a dry funky snap that recalls Steve Coleman's M-Base stuff -- not as rhythmically complex, but definitely a nod in that direction (see #2 especially).

*- Fast, Ravi gets into the quick-flowing notes immediately
*- Mid/fast funk, a bit like Steve Coleman
- Gently but rapidly tumbling. Theme in 5/8 time
- Staggery and short
- Mingus tune. Slow and pleasant.
- Mid/fast
*- A fast, disjointed "Round Midnight"
- Fast
- Monk standard, slow, warm
- Midtempo, a cool little vibe
