Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2003-09-18
From Tucson: Just what the doctor ordered, another amazing 7” from The Okmoniks. Fresh sassy garage psyche speaking volumes from the hey day of Radio X/Estrus Records (Read: the Bobbyteens, Brentwoods, ca 1994) but really like the finest of Lee Joseph’s Dionysus school is more like, channeling the fine ghosts of Tucson’s amazing garage scene in the 1960’s. Nope, sorry, if you want quaint 60’s retro, this aint it. If you want fuck-me bratty fuck-you female vocals, rocking Vox organ and guitars, low-fi production that makes your skin crawl and engorges your nether regions this slabs for you. NOTE: SIDE A AND SIDE B ARE IDENTICAL.

1) bouncy classic psyche feel
2) more of a driving feel
3) 12 bar rockin psyche
