Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2003-09-23
From Tucson: Low fi dirty rockin garagy psyche with sassy obnoxious female vocs that are taped low quality for that excellent dirty effect. Helps when she screams and shrieks and distorts the tape. Overall this is plain old weird punky psycho psyche. The girl sounds to be Bebe of Bebe and Serge fame (yes, all the best stuff in Tucson cant help but be a bit incestuous). Play with the Okmoniks 7”, Resonars, Pork Torta. All tracks great.

1) midpaced rocker, smarmy
2) upbeat rocker
3) “wine o’clock”: more of a surf, psyche feel as organ comes up a bit
4) garagy psyche sassy, about “furries”, weird
5) upbeat rocker
6) mid epic heavy rock feel
7) upbeat psyche organ in there, “happy buddah”, one FCC “bullshit”-not bad because voc quality is so low
8) 60’s rock guit rhythm, brief
9) another upbeat 60’s rocker
10) hard driving punk psyche
11) brief 4 track thing, sans band
12) Cafetorium: heavy doom noisy rock, screams
13) Red Zone: upbeat power pop feel
