Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2003-12-08
Instrumental half of electro-punk no wave era pioneers Suicide, Martin Rev releases dark sinister solo work worthy of deification. Dark electro rock beats, intense, spooky tones, whispered distorted vocals. Like Henry Mancini converted to digital in a locked groove. All songs kick ass. Play this stuff til it hurts. Wow!

1) upbeat near dance rock beat, dark and cool
2) vocs distort, driving beat, sinister
3) whoa, cool rock beat, this CD is getting better and better
4) strange lounge feel, sick
5) echoey percussion, noisey
6) slight latin jazz rhythms, but more sickness, dreamier
7) big Red Lorry Yellow Lorry 80’s rock beat, twangy guitar
8) funky electrodance feel
9) vibes, echoes, weird
10) more big rock beat, wash of echo
11) smarmier spy feel
12) upbeat rock
13) noisey, layers over simple beats
