Plain out pop rock fun. Elf Power’s left behind their albums about goblins and elves for a more straightforward, powerful pop rock record. It might now be their best effort, but it’s probably their most fun. Driving, catchy hooks, exuberant vocals, and infection choruses make up this album. It’s got a bit of folk rock influence, some neat keyboard work, but it mostly relies on the pure catchy power of the songs.
Recommended tracks: 2, 3, 5, 1, 7, 9

*1. Driving, catchy, awesome keyboard sound.
**2. Vic Chesbutt duets on this propulsive, folk rock track.
**3. Listen to the noises the singer makes at the end of the chorus. So cool.
4. A bit slower, acoustic guitar.
*5. Love those guitar hooks. Up tempo.
6. Dark, electronic-y beat feels a bit misplaced. And he sounds like the singer from Cake on this one.
*7. Ah, back to major chords and bouncing choruses.
8. Faster, REM sounding.
*9. A bit softer, still fun.
10. Lyrics get a bit insipid, and the main riff isn’t as engaging. Mid tempo.
11. Sounding a bit mainstream, are we?
