Two pieces from star percussionist Ibarra. The first is a beautiful percussion duet with Roberto Rodriguez, the second is a more expansive chamber work for her trio chronicling a day in the life of a Filipino farm worker. The duet showcases Ibarra’s proficiency on a variety of melodic percussion, while the rest of the album she’s behind the drumset. The trio evokes a wide range of emotion over the course of the piece, thanks to some superb playing by all involved. A truly excellent album.

**1. Wonderfully subdued melodic percussion
2. Percussion solo
3. Sparse plaintive melody
*4. Jumpy, acrobatic group work
**5. Starts with busy drums, then speedy folk melody
*6. Pretty waltz
*7. Questioning repartee between trumpet and violin
8. Meditative piano solo
*9. Strange stop/start percussion under solos
**10. Sweet violin led lullaby
