Fairly straight stuff, with rich piano chords and bright horn lines. Soft touch overall, often mixing '60s jazz with chamber-music counterpoint. Playful and accessible with a European sound.
Soloing tends to stick to the normal jazz motif, even on freer tracks like #3, with occasional way-out-there improv such as the intro to #2 or #10. Cleanly executed stuff, worth playing during any contemporary or even avant jazz segment.

- Grand, playful brass intro.
- Mellow, pleasant midtempo. Grumpy abstract intro.
- Mysterious and snaky, mildly Persian sound
- Slowish '60s feel and eventually stormy
- Snappy, mid/fast with some cool piano
- Sneaky little piece w/thumb piano, long horn lines
- Midtempo, '60s feel; reprise of 4
- Weird little toy-soldier march
- Tangly midtempo modern bop, grooves nicely
- Gentle and slow, mostly pretty with rattly intro
- Slow trot intro. Big piano solo and fast casual sax solo
- Midtempo descending theme, insistant trumpet solo
- Gentle, homey, with random ancillary noises
- Mid/fast but takes its time; ends pleasant and quiet
