Album Review

Free jazz from a Chicago trio led by Dave Rempis' sax. Very nice stuff with accessible heads and well charged solos. In the same vein as Dragons 1976 and Vandermark 5 (both of which share Tim Daisy as the drummer).

- Mid/fast, upbeat
- First half slow, meditative. Brisk second half.
- Staggering, into a midtempo jam
- Fast and disjoint
- Mysterious jungle beats, then a snaky midtempo cooker
- Builds carefully but gets fast. A mini-epic.
- Mid/fast, cool handed
- A robust jam, after a quiet playful intro
