Very heavy hard rock that walks the line between metal, hard rock, and hardcore. They have a big, down tuned, pummeling sound. They have a pretty unique sound which has parts old Isis (or old Neurosis), 16, and touches of Mastodon. From Baltimore.
**1. Feedback and noise into a heavy pummeling sound. Damn this is heavy. Changes speeds a couple times. Damn this is relentless.
**2. More discordance and a slow gallop.
**3. Another dissonant tracks with slower parts that are heavy and oppressive. Actually this track goes through a lot of changes.
**4. Short and faster.
5. Just discordant guitar and drums for the first 30 or so seconds. Lots of stopping and starting. A surprisingly melodic 2nd half of the song.
6. Fast right from the start. Some electronics to add to the chaos. The track slows way down in the middle and gets very quiet.
7. Another shorter fast track. This reminds me of Dillinger Escape Plan some.
**8. Even more discordant. A slow march which if you can believe it eventually gets to blast beats. The track ends with a huge sound pummeling sound.
**9. The most grindcore track but not until the 2nd half and then the track goes silent for a bit around 3 minutes in. It goes in and out of very quiet parts the rest of the track.
**10. The guitars have a distinct Pelican/Isis sound. Big and heavy but melodic. At about the halfway point the track completely changes getting very discordant.
11. The longest track. It starts quiet with just guitar and doesn’t get heavy until 2 minutes in. The last 2 minutes are a fadeout with lots of feedback.
Good stuff. -mph
