Yeah No – Swell Henry
A lush jazz album, concentrating more on composition and harmony rather than improvisation and melody. The liner notes talk about “mellow quietude”, which sounds about right. All this vaguely ethnic mellowness could have veered off into ECM territory, but they let loose on a few tracks (6, 7) to liven things up a bit.

*1. Lush accordion-led ballad
2. Soft start builds to full sound
3. Faster pretty melody
*4. Really mellow modern ethnic melody
5. Languid musings
*6. Short, Loud and raucous (for this album at least)
*7. Disjoint improv with klezmish overtones
8. Tender ballad
*9. Understated indierockish melody, builds to dissonant climax
10. Flutey meanderings
