Hard to put this one into words -- the blurb on the disc calls it “post-techno.” In any case the song you want here is track 4, a gorgeous electronic piano ballad. The rest of the record certainly qualifies as “music” in an academic sense, but not much beyond that. It’s worth checking everything out if you’re curious, but otherwise go straight to track 4. FYI the artist “DACM” is Peter Rehberg.

Best: 4
Track 1: Ambient intro with droning sounds. One of the more accessible tracks.
Track 2: Repeated loop of what sounds like an engine starting
Track 3: Swirling synths; the blurb on the record calls this the most “arresting” track
**Track 4: Play this one. Delicate electronic lament with heartbreaking female vox and piano.
Track 5: Abstract sounds
Track 6: Abstract sounds. Noise.
Track 7: See above
Track 8: See above. Squeaks and noises.
Track 9: Back to songs with recognizable structure. Meandering female vox and abstract percussion.
Track 10: Twelve minutes of looped harpsichord and keyboard swells
Track 11: Close to silence
