Ummm…. Wow. This will definitely raise some eyebrows. Experimental noise in the spirit of Wolf Eyes. Some of it’s very industrial, very minimalist. At other times there’s identifiable instruments (piano and violin in addition to the methodical drumming, schizo guitar, and at times funky bass). On the rare occasion you might even be tempted to cut a rug. By no means an easy album to listen to, but I definitely enjoyed scratching my head to it. The energy seething in these tracks is engaging. Steady beats hold the fragmented chaos together. This really is a gem, I recommend it much. My picks: 1,2,4,6
*1- industrial noise, pounding and intense, mumbling turns into screaming. dear god, hold me, I’m scared. The out of placeness of the innocuous piano melody at the end just adds to the terrifying effect.
*2- relentless drum roll, drilling noises, a repetitive guitar riff and undistinguishable whispers all make it clear: this is one mindfuck of an album.
3- industrial beat, with what sounds like a piercing a wood block. minimalist. weird.
*4- if you were feeling twisted enough, you just might be able to dance to this. The electronic glitches and percussive guitar are almost catchy. The mumbled sing-speaking is still creepy.
5- shredding noises, and an identifiable beat
*6- a relatively “normal” rock song. ha. still very much whacked out, driving and intense
7- minimalist randomness. <scratches head>
8- a 10 minute assault, relentless “chk ba bom” beat surrounded my machinelike chaos. at around 5 minutes you can catch your breath when the voice mumbling/growling comes in, at which point instead of pounding you to death they content themselves with slowly prying your limbs apart.
