Javanese gamelan performed by Radio Republic Indonesia. Beautiful and varied. 2 and 4 are instrumentals. Picks 2,4,5. FCC clean.
1-2:49) The groups introduction. Fem vox. "For long on the air, forever on the air". A calm incantation.
2-18:49) Instr. Slow/mid. Rolling along, but underlying tension through first third. Slowly gains speed in second half. At -1:00 abrupt slow down to end.
3-10:21) Serious male vox. Almost solo to -7:00 when chorus and instr. enter. Flute. Happy feel. Ends roundly.
4-18:37)Instr. Slow/mid. Spooky with full clangs. Same general pattern as 2.
5-10:01) Beautiful fem. vox with chorus, and steady pitter-pattery instr. -6:20 there is a break down. Male vox, almost solo. Talking, theatric? music starts and stops, speaking in between, laughing? Picks up and gets rowdy?!? Supposedly this one is more "radio" material.
