Thrash noisey synth led rock from back east, mathy moments, pure joy. Drinking from the same placenta as Lightning Bolt, Hella, Ruins, Pink and Brown, Comets on Fire, but I find these guys far more interesting. They use melody and noise textures creatively, vocals and refrains, instead of relying on pure difficult drag down lets-get-evicted bashouts. WTF? Sometimes this sounds like Yes or Kansas on the same radio frequency as Hella but then I realize: These guys have invented an entire new genre: Power Indie Rock (“Extreme” Indie Rock?). Great stuff, KZSU faves ca. 2003 (I think Stirling had them play live on her show).

10) oh man, about midway this breaks down into a Deep Purple on crytal meth and mushrooms feel that justifies this bands existence
