High energy, up-beat, dance-y, punk-inspired new wavish rock from San Diego. Self-titled debut EP. The Clash and the Pistols meet Radio 4, Les Savy Fav, the Rapture and Art Brut (must be the SoCal British accent). Straight up high energy-to-orgasmic rock for the fans of the late '90s NYC scene! Good shit.
Play: 2, 3, 1
1. Killer cow-bell beats and rhythms (Radio 4). No wave-y disposition (vocals) and pounding riffature (guitars).
2. High sonic energy. Very dance-y! Reminds me of Radio 4 (Dance to the Underground).
3. Sex Pistols meet the Clash! Very derivative but it's done so well.
4. Dominated by vocals (think Art Brut). Angularity meets beautiful piano melodies and hand claps half-way through the song.
6. Got the NYC Les Savy Fav feel to it. Intelligent inventive drumming conversing with great bass lines.
