Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2007-05-13
Stripped down, heavy creepy psychedelic noise, ambient, improv. Re-release of out of print “cult status” recordings, mastered by James Plotkin. Band had members who went on to Mouthus. Definitely creepy and trippy stuff. Like early Pink Floyd on acid laced with extra-strength oxycontin and heroin. Fans of Wolf Eyes, Mouthus, Psychic Paramount, Acid Mothers Temple, early Floyd.

All instrumental (FCC clean). My picks: 2, 3

1) long and trippy: quiet start, percussive, synths well up slowly, slowly low tones and buried voices and a more distinct rhythm has appeared
2) long: dark creepier synth and plodding minimal beat, hypnotic
3) echoey, low fi female voice/vocalizations, very trippy, minimal percussion and some piano
4) very slow sparse beginning, percussive and creepy, slow to build droney synths creep in
5) very old-Pink Floyd feel in the synths/piano, slow and trippy, slow evolution of psychedelia
