The Unit Breed- Our Soul Has Many Songs...ep
This seems to be a very odd band, with eerie, mellow or just experimental songs... Some cool stuff though, I like 3 the most. Joey Stockdale playing guitar on bits of Anything for Free and Always Distance the Lonely, Brett Hilberg on bass at the end of Living in Comfortable, and Matt Mitchell playing acoustic guitar at the end of Under Palms. FCC clean.
1. That's the Way It Goes- The way it goes is very slow. Gradual build up; first lyrics (more like eerie slow chanting) at a minute and a half, and at two and a half minutes in song picks up a little, a wee bit too long. The lyrics don't make much sense...
*2. Anything for Free- Faster tempo, but just as eerie at the beginning, throughout the song volume fluctuates. It almost sounds like The Unicorns if you were to play them in slow-mo... These lyrics also don't make much sense.
**3. Under Palms- Kinda guitar rock with a tablespoon of experimental, this song also fluctuates in volume, not as much as the previous one though. These lyrics also don't make much sense.
*4. Believe- Mellow and eerie, but not bad eerie... Gets heavier and faster at the end (for these guys) and then a dreamy and slow fade out.
5. Living in Comfortable- Slow, bubbly vocals then picks up at two minutes in, still odd vocals. Slows back down at three minutes, vocals sound normal...ish.
6. Always Distance the Lonely- Definitely an experimental song with trippy vocals and some cool instrumental pieces.
