CY TOUFF & SANDY MOSSE: Tickle Toe
Delmark, 1981
COOL BOP – Previously unreleased 1981 session between Touff, who played the rare bass trumpet, and Mosse, a journeyman tenor sax guy who spent his career between Chicago and Europe. This is straight-ahead, feel-good jazz from two solid guys who never got much time in the spotlight; pales next to Touff’s mid ‘50s work but still good stuff.
