Experimental Dental School-Jane Doe Loves Me
From Oakland and Portland, this band covers weird electric instrumentals with laser beams and Casios to soft female vocals laid over great guitar. For those who like Captain Beefheart, Man Man, and Deerhoof. My picks: 3, 4, 7, 9 & 11 FCCs on 1 & 4
.FCC Weird out-of-tune instruments kind of has a Dt. Steel feel to it. Then come really nice female vocals, back to weird instrumentals.
.Houston, we have a problem. Sounds like its being transmitted from outer space… Weird electric rock.
.*Odd noises over cool guitar. Calm nice female vocals. Very mellow.
.*FCC Very ansty intro, then carnival indie sound, back and forth from antsy to carnival indie sound. Weird electric outro (what a shock).
.Starts with kids then goes to faster tempo rock exploring the scales, weird electric noises mixed with horns, back to faster tempo rock. Then weird electric carnival with laser beams and horns!
.Brief eerie ditty. Sound bytes of some guy talking. Sounds like Daniel Johnston on the organ…
.*Rock pop tapping and such. Squeaks and Casios. Back to the carnival, oh joy! Then to the former again. Keep up this trend. Ends acoustic and odd.
.Spazzy rock pop. Fast outro then loud squeaky annoying outro.
.*Really great acoustic guitar and vocals, but there are odd electric noises that distract a tad.
.Buddy Rich intro, then fast Casio rock. Rock pop. Briefly really heavy (for these guys). Abrupt ending.
.*Heavier/eerie slow tempo pop rock. Gets really obscure then cool guitar. Slow outro.
.Reminds me a LOT of That1Guy, maybe flute or something in the background.
