San Jose deathgrind freaks vs. early styled powerviolence for the ADD set. Blast, bombast and repeat. Some pretty rad stuff which would come across well as say, an opening act at 924 Gilman. Sidetracked is the winner between the 2 sides but In Disgust have their moments, as well.|
Sidetracked side/Side A
((((1))))) Straight up hardcore with cool riffs and bass.
(((2))) Short, fast & loud.
((((3)))) See above, blink & you'll miss it.
((((4)))) Short, fast, but with 2 lines instead of 1.
(((((5))))) Hammering, rad mix of powerviolence & noise rawk.
((((6)))) Nice guitar harmonics, pummelling
(((((7))))) Killer stop/starts
(((((8))))) Hardcore, mixed with fast core & PV
((((9)))) Confrontation HC, awesome!
((((10)))) Heavy HC with more amazing stop/starts. Like Man Is The Bastard without the noise & junk.
In Disgust/Side B
((((1)))) Great sludgy riffs & drums. Then chaotic grind & multiple garbled/screamed vocals.
((((2))))) Torrents of drum blasts, power violence at its fastest, grind and even a heavy hardcore breakdown.
(((3)))) Lots of bass/drums. Straight-ahead but generic power-violence & grind.
(((4))) Raw, heavy garbage disposal deathgrind/powerviolence blend. Not bad but very by the numbers.
(((5))) Feedback & sloppy mess of power-violence, drano garggling grind. Pretty good in places.
