Peaceful, soothing, psych-folk with unique male vox. This is the album someone would listen to if they were coming into the light of day after 40years living underground. You can’t help but feel hopeful and appreciate how beautiful life is after listening. Some songs tend to keep constant rhythms throughout giving it a meditative, trance like feel. Think Fleet Foxes, Jose Gonzalez, John Butler Trio rolled into one. This album doesn’t grow on you. It’s great from the first listen. It may not change your world but it’s damn good in the mean time. NO FCCS.
1.Instrumental intro to CD. Electric guitar, heavy but slow riffs. Probably not suitable for mic backing.
2. **mid tempo. Twangy guitar for chorus. Fleet Foxes-esque.
3. Wonderful acoustic guitar running throughout song to soothing lyrics. Simple, great. Interesting lyrics.
4. More up-tempo, slightly distorted sound quality. Same rhythm throughout, no changes, bit boring.
5. Slow twangy acoustic guitar. Interesting wind instruments toward end. But constant, slow rhythm.
6. ***mid tempo. Listen to this song as you watch the sun come out from behind a cloud and all the world seems at peace.
7. **More up tempo. Vox doesn’t come til 30s in; can talk over first, boring ish, part. Interesting changes from verse to chorus. Great melodies, lots of instruments.
8. Traditional grungy pop. Like some of the darker Beatles stuff. Mid tempo.
