greatest heavy stoner psych rock band of all time.. oputtakes from 1996-2001, the height of their creative powers. moody psych masterpieces. play 'em all. these guys are the greatest.

1- gloomy sludgy murky moan dirge
2- melodic spacious release with an oddly harmonic and catchy isobel
3-loose crunchy moody space jam
4-masssssive 20 minute heavy psych explosion that hits the brown frequencies
5-tenser crescendoing colossus of a closer

Bardo Pond - Peri
Kings (and queens!) of droney psychadelic sludge rock. Really slow, epic beats and grinding chords. Then the girl with her out of tune voice starts singing over it and it's some solid stuff. Really prime when the guy starts "shredding". I can't say if there are FCC's because the vocals are basically unintelligible (which is not a bad thing). My question is, where's the violin from their previous albums?
-----------------------------------------------
1) Simple repeating slow chord progression with big drums and singing and some solos here and there, also noise crescendos, and I think a flute.
2) Maybe more mellow and pop-like, except the playing/singing is still as stoned. Fades out sort of suddenly.
*** 3) Tons of solos and drums, less of the big chords. Of course singing too but less than in other tracks. Also fades out.
4) Some weird wah intro, then around 3:30 it zones out and then CRASHES back and we have the highest energy part of the album. Flute in there too.
*** 5) Starts really low energy, with melodic progressions. Probably has the most "groove" of the tracks on the album. Instrumental, builds up.
