General: Storytelling minimalist folk/pop that saturates solitude with low-fi guitar and celebrates happiness with layers of quirky instrumentation. Julie Peel has a unique voice that projects both gritty edge and soft silkiness. Expect to hear a charming integration of upright bass, cello, real piano, ukulele, banjo, kazoo, horns, and the occasional resonance of electric guitar—giving this folk pop record some atmosphere. Perfect soundtrack for a winter road trip through snow-covered trees and barren countrysides.
