Overall, old-school sounding, light blues. It seems like Taylor has picked out particular moments from his past - moments that might not have seemed important in its time, but has gathered steam over the years - and set them to music. I felt like Taylor was letting us read his private diary. There is wistfulness, pain, and loss. NO FCC Violations detected.

1. relaxed, slow-tempo, sensual
2. Taylor's daughter sings vocals - sweet, soft, and sad
3. medium-tempo song, with a family story
4. electric guitar helps to drive memory in this sorrowful, slow rhythmic song
5. guitar solo opening - simple down beat - song about puppy love
6. the deep bass of the opening and the traditional blues rhythm alerts us to the traditional focus of the lyrics - a man leaving a woman for another in the same block
7. relentless driving opening rhythm - mirrors the subject of the song - a man's aggressive sexual pursuit of a woman.
8. guitar with repetitive riffs, plays alongside soft trumpet in beginning - overall, soft, big-band sound
9. guitar, folk-sounding beginning, vocals in between music at first, tempo picks up into a relentless driving down beat that goes with the vocals - a man willing to walk on water if a woman will come back to him - trumpet stands out and is a little dissonant in moments - more jazz than blues.
10. Taylor's daughter sings vocals, vocals are more whispery - again driving guitar rhythm alerting listeners that topic is touchy - this one about a woman leaving her husband for another woman - harmony and melody do not flow together, but that's the point
11. percussion opening and drums drive the melody
12. more folk/light blues than the rest of the CD - vocals and guitar
13. there is a repeating guitar riff set against piano meant to drive the rhythm - the two musical sounds don't exactly match - the vocals and the trumpet provide the bridge between all of the sounds
