Heavy, stoner, sludge from the tiny island of Syros in Greece! Quoting the blog lateral noise: "a melting pot of styles ranging from space-psychedelic rock to fuzzy desert-stoner rock with pinches of doom, hardcore, jazz and even a hint of reggae". Add to this the extremely strong accent of the singer that goes really really well in the music. These guys really rock out and are very talented musically. Great production too. Two thumbs up! FYI: Rizla is a Dutch brand of rolling papers. For fans of: Kyuss, Clutch, Torche, Red Sparowes.

Picks: 3, 2, 5, 6 *** No FCCs ***

1. Noisy guitar noodling intro, jumps to this ominous kinda industrial track that slowly builds up. Midway gets somewhat mathy, then quiet, and then again heavy. Lyrics reference the police murder of Alex Grigoropoulos in downtown Athens.
**2. Starts with this driving staccato bass then builds up into this great heavy metal piece. Nice riffing... Headbanger's bliss.
***3. Whoah, totally Kyuss-sounding badass attitude!
4. Start-stop intro builds up to this hardcore-sounding track, alternating with quiet moments. Pained, almost operatic vocals. Pretty dramatic.
*5. Starts spazzy, mathy sounding, pretty energetic. Then it jumps into this dub-sounding interlude with reverb-drenched vocals. It works really well!
*6. Doomed out closing track. Super epic and heavy. Morbid lyrics. Lots of changes of rhythm. Very good!
