Album Review

Radiohead drummer leaves the percussion behind and releases a singer/songwriter album. Lots of cute little composition, and the 32 minutes are enjoyable. A little too mellow on a full listen, though.
FCC: None
Try: 3, 4, 8

1) Count off. Slow, Mad World-sounding track with glockenspiel in the end.
2) Reversed percussion, falsetto, and humming. Lovely lyrics.
3) * Slow, fragile. Drums at 1:20. “I’m scared, but I’m losing you” Really good when horns come in (2:40)
4) * Sounds like ‘Exit Music’, but less drama. Nice fingerpicked gui-tar.
5) Acoustic bass, strings. Like the soundtrack to a cute teen-age indie flick.
6) Sad, sort of traditional-sounding. Very soft vocals.
7) Deeper vocals, builds up.
8) * Very separate verses, new elements added each time. Peaceful & melodic.
9) Piano, slow strings, added drums.
10) Sounds a lot like something off Thom Yorke's The Eraser albeit less electronic. That or "Nude" with less strings
