Caustic, disorienting blurs of grinding, manic hardcore is the name of the game here! This new San Jose band has this humble reviewer bewildered and immensely pleased. Screeching, powerviolence vox a-la 1/3 of Spazz, though the comparisons end there. A technical, riff-based approach to instrumentation makes for a very challenging listen here, and indeed the difficulty of subgenre categorization forces the listener to devote his entire attention to the progression of the music. Two of the three songs are surprisingly (read: relatively) long for the fast-punk framework that supports the music, but the stop on a dime tempo changes keep things driving along with pummeling force. This band’s first recorded output is a deliciously modern mélange of thrashin’ hardcore heaviness; I am at once intrigued and can’t wait to hear what they will do next. RECOMMEND: All the fuckin tracks, there are only three!

1. A whirlwind of insanity in the form of blastbeats, breakdowns, screeching.
2. Chugging thrash riffs take this song in one direction, then flurries of fastness and guitar solos completely destroy everything (in a good way)—FUCK YEAH
3. Short and sweet, just how I like my powerviolence (or whatever this is)
